Classic players are now available in MixFlip
While MixFlip is known for it's unique before-after players, we've also introduced classic players. These players have the same design as our signature before-after players, but with just a single audio file and higher file size limits.
Why did we add these? Because we've heard from many of you that you want to showcase your entire song library, not just a before and after, while still having a lossless player that matches the look and feel of your before-after players.
How to get started with classic players
To use a classic player, create new songs and upload "classic" audio files. Then, select the "Classic" option when creating a new player. Classic songs support the same audio formats as before-after songs, including MP3, FLAC, and WAV. We've upped the maximum file size to 25MB on the starter plan and 100MB on the Pro plan.
Our recommendations
Here is how we recommend using classic players:
- Use a before-after player to show the best 30-60 second samples of your mixing or mastering work – usually the final chorus of the song. For hearing the transformation, users don't need to sit through the entire song... just the part that shows off your skills the best!
- Use a classic player to show the entire song in lossless format – especially for showcasing your production or arrangement skills.
Why did we seperate classic and MixFlip song types in the app?
In addition to allowing you to upload larger files for the classic player, this helps keep track of the different types of songs in your library. You can now have a snippet of the song that is a "before-after" in your library, while uploading the full song for the "classic" player.
